Learn how to run ad-hoc jobs from Edusync Microsoft
To carry out actions in Edusync Microsoft on a user-by-user basis you can use the action buttons provided. The following guide explains how to use these buttons.
Select the desired user by checking the box on the left.
The available actions are as below:
Create Microsoft user
This will provision a new user based on MIS data, just like running a sync would for all unmatched users, but only for the selected users. It will then match the Microsoft user to Edusync's MIS-procured data.
Ignore
This will allow you to put a user in the 'Ignored' section of the directory and ensure that they will not have any sync actions carried out when running a full MIS sync.
Unmatch Microsoft user
This will take the user out of 'Matched users' and place it in 'Unmatched users' thus ending Edusync's association with the Microsoft user. You can then re-match the user or recreate a Microsoft user. You may want to do this if you make a mistake in matching your users.
Download password
This will provide a CSV of all selected users Microsoft Workspace passwords but only if it is the password Edusync provisioned the account with, all other passwords will appear omitted from the CSV that is generated.
Delete Microsoft user
This will unmatch the user in the Edusync Microsoft directory and also delete the user in Microsoft Workspace. After deleting the Microsoft user you will only be able to reinstate it within 20 days from Microsoft Vault.
